Periodic medical examination reports are required to reestablish or re-class a 1, 3 or 4 class drivers licence under (however not constrained to) any of the accompanying conditions:
- If you have a medical condition that may affect your driving performance.
- If you are over the age of 75
You can download the medical form here. This structure is to be completely finished by your family specialist or master. Medicals are required at the time of renewing, restoring or renaming of your drivers licence. A man who applies for or recharges a Class 1, 2 or 4 administrator’s permit must present a restorative report:
- Every 5 years to age 45
- Every 2 years from age 45 to 65
- Every year after age 65
Alberta Transportation may ask for a medical exam at any age to determine your medical fitness to operate a motor vehicle. All licence terms are dependent on established medical guidelines. This applies to all classes of licences.
