PERPIS:
Gold Key Registries uses the Personal Property Information System to perform searches on property that may be subject to another registration. It is used to protect the rights of buyers and creditors. You should search the Personal Property Registry before buying personal property or accepting personal property as collateral for a loan.
In the event that the property is subject to another registration, the Personal Property Information System (PERPIS) does not always record the amount owing/involved. Persons requesting searches should contact the secured party or creditor for more information.
All information registered on PERPIS will contain a status of either “current” or “deleted”. It is important to always check the status of the information provided in your search results.
When purchasing a previously owned vehicle, in addition to a Personal Property Registry search, Gold Key Registries can provide a Vehicle Information Report.
